MAKES 12


110g ( 4 oz ) soft margarine
110g ( 4 oz ) caster sugar
75g ( 3 oz ) self raising flour
25g ( 1 oz ) cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs, medium
50g ( 2 oz ) chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 190C, 375F, Fan oven 170C, Gas Mark 5

Place all the ingredients in a large bowl.

Beat together for 2 minutes until light and creamy.

Divide the mixture between the cups and cook for 15 – 20 minutes until well risen.

Allow the cakes to cool completely in the mould before removing.
